Creek Road Pottery designer Alford Wayman specially designed and created these 100% authentic, handcrafted shaving brushes for Fawn Organics. Each brush is hand thrown on a pottery wheel using 1/4 lbs lumps of clay. Then, the artisan individually sculpts, carves, and imprints each clay form with textured patterns from a wooden rasp. After the bisque fire, all the handles are then washed with red iron oxide to bring out the pebbled texture lines. Lastly, each handle is fired to 2223F in a gas kiln.
A shave brush is the best way to lather shaving cream onto your face, giving you that classic shaving experience with a rich, foamy lather. Shave brushes also help to prevent shaving irritation by lifting and softening hair follicles, resulting in a smooth and close shave. The soft, flexible bristles never result in irritation and add spa-level enjoyment to any shaving routine.
Our natural clay shaving brush is prized for its exceptional pebbled patterns and rounded sides. Thanks to the varying patterns and sides, each clay shaving brush is unique and has a perfect grip. The patterns and shapes may vary from handle to handle. However, small variations in the clay are not defects. They are a sign that the brush handles are artisan-made with naturally-sourced materials.
This brush is made with synthetic hairs. Synthetic hairs for shaving brushes are considered to be best because they feel incredibly soft on the face and last much longer. This brush hair is no exception. It will whip up a phenomenal lather and pamper your skin. The hairs brush firmly against the skin while remaining soft, but not too floppy. They are just right!
Creek Road Pottery ceramics recommends handing washing. Do not put brush in oven, dishwasher, or microwave.
